The biggest man in the UK, Neil Fingleton, actor of the hit series “Game of Thrones”, died at the age of 36, announced the British club of tall people.
“We have unfortunately been informed of the death on Saturday of Neil Fingleton, the tallest man in the UK,” the organization wrote on his Facebook page.
Fingleton, 2.32 meters, died as a result of a heart failure, according to the British press.
Born in Durham (northeast England), he first played basketball in the United States and Spain before returning to the United Kingdom to embark on an acting career.
He played in “X-Men: The Beginning” (2011) and “Games of Thrones”, where he played the role of “Mag Mar Tun Doh Weg”, called “Mag the Powerful”.
The announcement of his death triggered a rain of tributes on social networks. “I am deeply saddened to learn of the tragic death of Fingleton,” tweet Ian Whyte, another actor in Games of Thrones. “He had realized his dreams. Rest in peace”.
In 2006, Fingleton had entrusted the Guinness World Records with a family of grown-ups. “From as far as I can remember, I’ve always been the greatest.”
“I really started to grow up from the age of 11,” he explained. “At 16, I measured 2.25 m and stopped growing at the age of 18”.
Apart from “stupid remarks and questions”, “it’s great to be great,” he said.
According to the Guinness, the tallest man in the world is currently the Turkish Sultan Kösen (2.51 meters).
