The Arizona Diamondbacks have made a historic return to the National League Championship Series (NLCS) for the first time since 2007. Their triumph came after a stunning victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Division Series (NLDS), where they swept the series with a score of 4-2.
To celebrate their achievement, the Diamondbacks held a memorable pool party in right-center field, where players and fans alike reveled in the glory of their triumphant sweep. Now, they turn their attention towards the Philadelphia Phillies, who secured their own spot in the NLCS by defeating the No. 1 seed Atlanta Braves in the other NLDS series.
As the lower seed, the Diamondbacks will travel to Philadelphia for Game 1. The NLCS schedule has already been announced, with Game 1 set to take place on Monday, October 16 at Citizens Bank Park. The excitement continues on Tuesday, October 17 with Game 2, also to be held at Citizens Bank Park.
Switching venues, Game 3 will be played at Chase Field on Thursday, October 19, followed by Game 4, which will also take place at Chase Field on Friday, October 20. If necessary, the series will return to Chase Field for Game 5 on Saturday, October 21.
Should the series go the distance, Game 6 is scheduled to be played at Citizens Bank Park on Monday, October 23. And if the teams are still deadlocked after six games, the decisive Game 7 will be held at Citizens Bank Park on Tuesday, October 24.
Fans will have multiple ways to follow all the action; the games will be televised on TBS, and for those on the go, the radio broadcast will be available on the Arizona Sports app as well as on 98.7 FM.
The Diamondbacks will undoubtedly face a tough challenge against the Phillies, but their recent postseason success has given them the momentum and confidence needed to excel in the NLCS. As the excitement builds, fans eagerly await the highly-anticipated match-ups that are sure to make this NLCS one to remember.
