Activision Launches Call of Duty Warzone Mobile Amidst Concerns
Activision has made a bold move by launching Call of Duty Warzone Mobile, despite already having a successful Call of Duty Mobile game developed by Tencent-owned TiMi Studio Group. The decision to introduce Warzone Mobile was driven by the desire to capture a larger share of revenue, as the game is developed entirely in-house at Activision.
The highly anticipated Warzone Mobile is set to launch globally on March 21, promising a unique and high-quality gaming experience for players. However, some concerns have been raised by PC and console players who fear that Activision may prioritize Warzone Mobile over other Call of Duty titles.
Warzone Mobile will feature the original map Verdansk and support up to 120 players, surpassing the PC and console version which only supports up to 100 players. The game will offer cross-progression with Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 on PC and consoles but will not support cross-play across platforms.
In response to worries about cheating, Activision has assured players that measures have been implemented to prevent cheating in Warzone Mobile and ensure a fair and enjoyable gaming experience. Chris Plummer, Senior Vice President and Co-Head of Mobile at Activision Publishing, reassured players that the company is committed to providing exciting content and experiences across all Call of Duty platforms.
As the gaming community eagerly awaits the launch of Warzone Mobile, it will be interesting to see how players respond to this new addition to the Call of Duty franchise. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting development.
