Sony is revolutionizing the gaming experience for PC users with the upcoming release of Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut on May 16th. This highly anticipated game will be the first PlayStation game for PC to utilize Sony’s new PlayStation PC overlay, providing players with access to a friend list, Trophies, Settings, and their PlayStation account right from the in-game menu.
One of the standout features of this new overlay is the ability to earn PlayStation Trophies while playing Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut on PC. Players will also have access to cross-play support and the friends list feature by signing in with their PlayStation Network credentials.
In addition to these features, the game will support advanced graphics technologies such as Nvidia’s DLSS 3, AMD’s FSR 3, and Intel’s XeSS upscaling. Players can also enjoy full support for the PlayStation DualSense controller with haptic feedback and adaptive triggers when playing on a wired connection.
Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut on PC will also cater to users with ultrawide monitors, offering support for resolutions such as 21:9, 32:9, and even 48:9, as well as triple monitor setups. The game will be playable at various presets, ranging from 720p at 30fps to 4K at 60fps, depending on the system requirements.
This move by Sony marks its increased investments in PlayStation PC gaming, following successful tests of PSVR 2 support for PC and discussions about expanding PlayStation games on the PC platform. With the introduction of the PlayStation PC overlay and shared Trophies in Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut, Sony is setting a new standard for the gaming experience on PC.
