David Pecker, the CEO of American Media Inc., has recently testified in court about his involvement in hush money payment schemes to protect Donald Trump’s presidential campaign. Pecker revealed that he brokered a $30,000 agreement with Trump Tower doorman Dino Sajudin to prevent a false story about Trump fathering illegitimate children from being published.
Pecker also confirmed that Michael Cohen, Trump’s former lawyer, was involved in negotiating the payment and that Trump would be pleased with the deal. In addition, Pecker discussed his interactions with Trump and Cohen regarding Karen McDougal’s allegations of an affair with Trump.
Meanwhile, Judge Juan Merchan is considering whether to fine Trump $10,000 for violating a gag order by attacking trial witnesses. Trump has expressed his frustration with the gag order, calling it unconstitutional, as he spoke to the media outside the courtroom.
The trial has been adjourned for the Passover holiday and will resume on Thursday, with Pecker expected to provide further testimony. With new revelations emerging from Pecker’s testimony, the case continues to draw attention and raise questions about the extent of Trump’s involvement in these hush money payment schemes. Stay tuned for more updates as the trial progresses.
