Nintendo’s beloved microgame franchise, WarioWare, is coming back with a bang in its latest installment, WarioWare: Move It! Known for its crude humor and absurdity, this new game is set to captivate fans once again with its unique gameplay.
At the core of WarioWare: Move It! is the concept of movement. Players will need to learn and perform various poses, referred to as “Forms,” using the Nintendo Switch’s motion controls. These forms are essential to completing microgames, which require players to interpret on-screen prompts and complete tasks in under 10 seconds.
Some of the gameplay examples in WarioWare: Move It! are enough to make anyone’s eyebrows raise. From wiggling your butt to make Mario’s Tanooki tail flap to drawing on-screen shapes with the Joy-Con controller near your buttocks, the game incorporates lighthearted and sometimes outrageous gestures. There are even microgames that involve holding the Joy-Con mid-thigh in a squatting position, simulating actions like catching fish or stomping like a sumo wrestler.
While the game can be enjoyed in single-player mode, it truly shines when played with friends. WarioWare: Move It! offers a story mode for solo or cooperative play, as well as a Party Mode for up to four players competing in microgames. The Party Mode includes a tabletop board game map, where players roll dice to determine their progression, similar to the rules of the popular Mario Party games.
Excitingly, WarioWare: Move It! will feature a whopping 200 microgames when it launches for the Nintendo Switch on November 3rd. This abundance of microgames ensures that players will have plenty of challenges and entertainment to keep them engaged for hours on end.
Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of WarioWare: Move It! as it is seen as a return to form for the franchise. The previous release, WarioWare: Get It Together!, received mixed reviews, making this new installment even more anticipated. With its focus on movement and multiplayer fun, WarioWare: Move It! aims to capture the spirit of the beloved franchise and provide a joyful and entertaining gaming experience for all.
